Brach's Giving Frisselle and Taylor a Sweet Ride

(Montréal, Quebec) 31 July 2008 – Fresh off their best Rolex Sports Car Series result together, Burt Frisselle and Ricky Taylor got another boost this week, as the Farley & Sathers brand, Brach’s, has signed on to sponsor the No. 47 Brach’s Ford-Dallara prepared by Doran Racing in the next three rounds of Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series competition commencing with this weekend’s race in Montreal, as well as Watkins Glen International in New York, and Sonoma, California’s Infineon Raceway.

While the Dallara-Ford package that Frisselle and Taylor share is among the newest Daytona Prototype combinations in the series, the relationship between Farley & Sathers and Taylor is not, as the confection company has been deeply involved with both Ricky and his brother Jordan Taylor’s race efforts back to their first steps in karting action. The step up to the Daytona Prototype partnership fits in lock step not only with Taylor’s quick progress in the sport, but also with Farley & Sathers’ own rapid growth and acquisition record.

“We have been fortunate to be involved with the Taylor’s race activities for quite some time, and everyone is excited to have Brach’s be in the spotlight all over North America from Montreal to Sonoma,” said Dennis Nemeth, President. “Even though he is just a rookie, Ricky has raced really well and Burt (Frisselle) is a fine young man and a great teammate. We believe that this pair is tremendously capable and we’re proud to be involved. Hopefully we’ll see them throwing Brach’s candies from off the Rolex podium!”

Taylor started the season teaming with his father in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, and the effort brought him a debut top-5 in the event with a run to fifth place. After just three race starts together, Frisselle and Taylor have gelled with each other and the Dallara-Ford, matching Taylor’s Rolex career best with fifth in the most recent round at Barber Motorsports Park.

“Brach’s has been great supporters for me and Jordan, and to have them be involved with us again at this Daytona Prototype level is really exciting,” said Taylor. “They are good people, and it’s a company we’re proud to represent. Burt has been a great teammate, and we keep getting more and more out of this Dallara, so hopefully we can get some strong results for Brach’s starting here in Montreal.”

The race weekend is part of the Nationwide Series visit to Montreal, with practice session slated for a 12:30 PM start on Thursday, with the grid being set at 1:15 PM on Friday before a 4:15 PM ET race start, which will be broadcast starting at 8:00 PM ET on Friday.
