BSI, Anasten Plus, and CDOC Sign on to Support Frisselle and Gardel Dallara-Ford Effort with Doran Racing

17 March 2008 – The newest driver pairing in Rolex Sports Car Series competition, Burt Frisselle and Gabriele Gardel, will not only be sporting the latest Daytona Prototype chassis and motor combination with the Dallara-Ford package, but will also be supported by the newest partnership of sponsors in the Rolex Series paddock, as the American-Swiss driver duo have gained the backing of BSI Bank, Anasten Plus, and CDOC. In addition, Performance Drink, which is also a Rolex Sports Car Series contingency sponsor, will further support the effort of the two young racers as they strive to get the strongest performance possible from both themselves and the car.

Frisselle and Gardel are expected to make a race debut with the No. 47 Dallara-Ford combination as campaigned by Doran Racing in the Rolex Series event at the Autodromo H. Rodriguez in Mexico City, Mexico.

"Obviously we can't do anything in this sport without good sponsors being involved, so to have CDOC join with BSI and Amasten Plus is a huge part of this Dallara Ford program with Kevin Doran," said Frisselle. "I've been lucky to work with CDOC and Performance Drink previously in my career, and hope to bring them new success with this Dallara. I'm anxious to get going and start our testing before we head for Mexico City. We know that theses sponsors are excited to be involved with this new car, probably almost as excited as we are to go race it!"

CDOC, which has a retail shop on the grounds of Virginia International Speedway in addition to its flagship location in Gordonsville, Virginia, has established a significant presence in a wide variety of race paddocks including the Rolex Series. CDOC is one of the largest master warehouse distributors of racing gear in the U.S., and was also a sponsor of Frisselle's NASCAR racing in 2007.

Gardel, who will look to raise his profile Stateside to the high level he has already accomplished with the championships the Italian-speaking Swiss racer earned in Europe, is pleased to once again partner with BSI and Amasten Plus as the 2005 FIA GT and 2006 LeMans Series GT1 Champion embarks on his rookie year in Rolex competition.

"I feel fortunate to be racing here in the States with BSI and Amasten Plus supporting this Dallara-Ford effort along with CDOC," said Gardel. "Everyone is really excited about this opportunity to race in the Rolex Series with this new car. I have to admit that Mexico City doesn't feel like it can come fast enough! I know it is going to be a lot of work with this new combination but we are confident and I think driving with Burt is going to be a big help. I will definitely be relying on his help as I learn all of the new tracks!"

The No. 47 will be prepared by Doran Racing, which has a long history in the sport as a highly successful team entry. In addition, the Doran organization was responsible for designing, building, and supporting the Doran JE4, which won the inaugural Daytona Prototype Team and Driver Championships in 2003 and scored a victory in the 2004 Rolex 24 At Daytona on the way to establishing a significant competitive presence in the category.

The 2008 Rolex season will see Doran not only utilize the Dallara chassis, but the Ohio-based organization will also serve as the official parts support provider for Dallara in addition to assisting Dallara with fabrication in some areas of the car.

Famed horsepower experts Roush/Yates prepare the Ford Racing motors for Doran Racing.

Testing is slated for multiple tracks and multiple dates in advance of the Rolex Series round three in Mexico City on April 19th.
