Frisselle Racing Daytona 250 Results
PAST SEASONS: The 250-mile event at Daytona International Speedway has not always been kind to the Frisselle brothers. Burt scored his best finish of eighth in 2004. Brian has only made one appearance in the Daytona sprint with his brother in 2005, but electrical problems hindered their comeback.

THIS SEASON: This will be the first time that Brian and Burt will be racing against each other at Daytona in the 250-mile event. Brian will team with Mark Wilkins in the No. 61 AIM Motorsport Lexus Riley, while Burt will be teamed with Ricky Taylor in the No. 47 Miracle Sealants Doran Racing Ford Dallara.

Frisselle Racing-Daytona Brumos 250 Fast Facts
This will be Burt & Brian’s first time competing against each other at Daytona in the sprint race. They were competitors earlier this year when Burt ran with Michael Shank Racing (fighting with Juan Montoya for the lead late in the race) as Burt competed with AIM Autosport.

Burt & Brian will hold their third annual Frisselle Brother Charity Mini Golf Tournament at Camp Boggy Creek, Wednesday, July 2 at 9:30 a.m. Each brother is coming off their best finishes of the season.

2008 Frisselle Racing Results

Brian Frisselle - No. 61 AIM Autosport Ford Riley
Teamed with Andrew Ranger and Colin Braun, teammates Brian Frisselle and Mark Wilkins made up the youngest Rolex Series Daytona Prototype team. A good start was hindered by contact, traffic and tire issues to finish a disappointing 19th. The team regrouped and had three starting-row qualifying positions and four top-8 finishes. The duo scored their best finish of the season at Mid-Ohio. Late race tire problems prevented a podium finish.

Current Driver Point Standings: T-13th (153 points)

Burt Frisselle - No. 47 Doran Racing Ford Dallara
After starting the season with Michael Shank Racing and drivers Ian James, John Pew and AJ Allmendinger and finishing in the top-10 after disappointing mechanical issues, Burt moved to the No. 47 Doran Racing Ford Dallara with Gabriele Gardel where they debuted the Dallara chassis at Mexico City with a top-10 finish. Contact and mechanical issues have hindered the team’s and chassis’ development. After Gardel returned to Europe, Ricky Taylor joined the team at Mid-Ohio where they scored the best finish of the season with a seventh place finish.

Current Driver Point Standings: 32nd (115 points; missed Round 2)

Frisselle Racing
As the sons of sports car legend Brad Frisselle, Burt and Brian had big shoes to fill when they began their racing careers. Both started in go-karts and have since made the family name proud with their success in the Rolex Sports Car Series.
